As 2008 comes to an end and I get ready to open my Fitness Club for 2009, I can’t help but look back and smile. At the start of 2008, I called out to the universe that I wanted to something big to happen. In January 2008, there was no such thing as a Shuichi Take Fitness Club. Fast forward to January 2009, there will be!
I promise all of you there is no one more anxious and excited about the Fitness Club opening then me! As I prepare to open my first Fitness Club, I look forward to 2009 and seeing many new faces. I hope all of you have wrote down your New Year’s resolutions of health and fitness…
I wish all of you a happy and healthy 2009!

A flat belly in 2009!
For some people getting back in shape means having the body they had 5 years ago (or even 5 months ago!), shaving off those extra holiday pounds or feeling confident when it comes to wearing their bathing suit at the beach. For their New Year’s health and fitness goals, many people focus on how healthy they look on the outside. But what really is a true test of health is how healthy are you on the inside.
I’ve been amazed at what a difference making small changes to your everyday lifestyle can made to improve your overall health. It’s the small changes that leads to big changes such as lowering the risk of dangers such as heart disease, diabetes, blood pressure and adding years to your life.
For the New Year, make a resolution to pay closer attention to the health of your vital organs. Moderate exercise and a healthier diet is always a great place to start. Investing in a gym membership or hiring a personal trainer (I still have availability for new clients!) can often give you the motivation and inspiration you’ve been looking for.
The new year is always a great excuse to finally start taking care of your health and get in shape…so what are you waiting for?!

Big day tomorrow! Most of the equipment is ready to go and there are 2 final inspections tomorrow. We should cover a lot of ground tomorrow. Depending on how much we get done I may be spending New Years Eve celebrating opening the Shuichi Take Fitness Club or working with the contractors while everyone else is celebrating. Check in tomorrow for another update…

I have been working with contractors everyday this past week trying to finish up the minor details so we can finally open (I even spent Christmas Eve and day at the Fitness Club!). Unfortunately we will not be able to open tomorrow as as I had previously hoped to. The good news is we are moving fast and the opening is days away…and so is 2009! Check in tomorrow (Monday) evening for another update.
The wait will be well worth it…I promise!
