Shuichi Take, who is from the Washington D.C. area, has been in the fitness industry for over 15 years. As one of Miami’s most sought-after personal trainers, he has had the opportunity to work with clients from all walks of life. Shuichi, who has worked with many professional athletes and celebrities throughout his career, relocated to Miami in 2004 after being hired by former NBA superstar Alonzo Mourning following his kidney transplant. The then retired athlete appointed Shuichi to design and facilitate his rehab program so that he could return to the game he loved less than a year later…in better shape than ever! Zo and Shuichi wouldn’t have had it any other way.
Although he has trained many famous and wealthy clients as well owned his own exclusive fitness facility, Shuichi’s goal has always been to create a nutrition and exercise program that was affordable and accessible to everyone. This goal is what inspired him to create the South Beach Challenge, an online community designed to make losing weight and getting in shape fun by incorporating engaging game-like features while members encourage and support each other with other interactive features.
